Toothpaste Vs Pimples? So there you are again, standing in front of the mirror. That's when you notice it. Staring back at you in your mirror is a pimple. So you formulate a plan, but when you get ready to attack you realize that you have no acne treatment. So what do you do? Then you remember, toothpaste can help with acne. That one solution you heard about on the internet, and you reach for the toothpaste thinking that this can be your lifesaver. BUT, does toothpaste get rid of pimples? The first time I heard of the toothpaste method. Even though I had acne before, one particular blemish was rather big. I felt disgusting, and it was just gross to look at. Even though I had seen my friends deal with this issue, I was sure it wouldn't effect me the same. However, life said, " OH WELL ". So of course the first thing I did was try to figure out ways to get rid of it, which lead me to this gem. The toothpaste treatment. I had some toothpaste and decide it would be a good idea to try it. The only thing it did was irritate my face, and I had to remove it quickly. So for me personally, my skin is to sensitive to use it. BUT.. Does toothpaste get rid of pimples? In short, yes it can. However, there is a lot that goes with it. So let's see why. Most toothpaste contain three main ingredients for helping with blemishes, xylitol and abrasive. Xylitol is alkaline sugar, also an alcohol. It is used to in toothpaste to get rid of bacteria that build up in the mouth and around the teeth and gums. There are even toothpaste made specifically with xylitol. Xyolite is also used as a replacement for sugars in some recipes. Abrasive is very fine sand, used to scrub the enamel on your teeth. Abrasive works as an exfoliant, removing the dead skin cells from the tops of blemishes. These two ingredients work really well to dry out those blemishes. These two ingredients do work well together, but still shouldn't be left on the skin for long periods of time, so make sure if you try this to wash your skin soon after. The other ingredients that help in toothpaste are baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, menthol, essential oils. The other ingredient I want to mention is calcium carbonate which is very good at drying out acne and clearing out pores at the same time. While it is used in many toothpaste, is not used in all of them. Calcium carbonate also removes excess oil for the skin. On top of all that, it also help the skin return to normal while fighting the blemish. There have long been links between calcium and acne, with research indicating that a high intake of dairy can elevate inflammation and lead to breakouts. Triclosan, Where have I seen that before? Triclosan is the last ingredient I want to talk about, it is an anti-bacterial agent that is around 99.6% effective at removing germs, including the bacteria that causes pimples. So where you seen it before. Well if you are like me, you read everything, well everything in a bottle. Triclosan is also used in acne medicines, although the triclosan in those medicines is inactive. It is used to even be in hand soaps, but was banned in 2016 by the FDA from being in soaps because there was no proof that it worked any better then regular soap and water. The reason it is still in toothpaste is, because it has been proven to reduce plaque and gingivitis. What does it do to skin? Using this method has its drawbacks. The drawbacks being what it can actually do to the skin. While it may seem like lots of people use this method, there are certain things you should know. One of the main problems is that it can cause is excessive drying in the skin. The ingredients in toothpaste just aren't made for skin, that is why so many people who research this tell you not to do it. They argue against it, because people don't do there research and just take the advice of others, sometimes leading to very unwanted results. While some people swear by it, it is much safer to use an acne spot treatment. People with sensitive skin can even be burned using this method. This can lead to unnatural discoloration, irritation, and pain. One of the major reasons for this reaction is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. It is a very strong ingredient that can damage your skin. Are there certain toothpastes to use and avoid? Yes, this is important to know so you can at least use ones that less harmful on the skin. The toothpaste that you want to use the plain white, regular toothpaste. This is because white toothpaste contains the least amount of chemicals. This will cause the least amount of harm on your skin. While this may not seem to matter, the fact is that inside the colors are the more harmful chemicals, which should be avoided at all cost. Don't use whitening toothpaste, because this kind of toothpaste contains bleaching agents. This can lead to bleaching of the skin and cause unneeded irritation and inflammation. Do not use gel toothpaste. Gel toothpaste doesn't contain most of the ingredients that would help with acne, so it shouldn't be used. It only contains the same harmful chemicals as the colored toothpaste. If you going to try this make sure to use a low fluoride toothpaste. Most toothpaste contains fluoride so make sure to be cautious. Another alternative is to just use natural kinds, like tom's, or burt's bees. Are their alternate ways to deal with acne? Yes their are many different ways to deal with acne naturally, which I discuss on my blog. The best thing you can do for yourself is to change your diet. After you have done that go and see a dermatologist. A dermatologists will be able to tell you what kind of acne you have and which option is best suited for you. If you have to use a system, I have a system that I use by exposed skin care, I wrote an entire review of it here. The most important thing do though is to follow these simple steps. One, wash your face at least once a day. You don't want to over wash your face, that will clean all the good oils off your face. Also when drying your face, pat dry, don't scrub. Two, use an acne cleanser. A daily acne cleanser will do wonders for the skin, leaving you feeling revitalized throughout your whole day. Three, exfoliate. It may seem useless, but it is the best way to remove dead skin to get to the healthy skin below. These three steps along with a better diet can drastically improve your blemish problem. Like I said before having a large dairy intake can also cause inflammation in the skin and outbreaks. So you might want to cut that back too. In conclusion While toothpaste is good in a pinch, I am going to say that this method is not good. It is just not safe enough to use on the skin, like i said before toothpaste is not meant to be on skin. I am not saying not to try it either though, I am saying that you need to refer to the ingredients above, make sure you are careful, and test. I would also recommend only doing this when no other options are available to you. If you need to do this then make sure to not overdo it. Toothpaste treatments are meant to be a temporary treatment and should be used as such. Final Note: Toothpaste effects different people in different ways. So be cautious about doing it. Even if you know someone who has had success, your reactions to it could be very different.

We all have had to deal with acne, even the most beautiful people. The question most people have about acne is how to get rid of it, and the answer is pretty simple (sometimes). For the most part though, there are things you need to do and need to stop doing and stay away from. So, lets find out how to get rid of pimples, with 10 essential do's and don'ts. Do's: 1. Always wash your face. The fact is that most people just don't wash their faces enough. When most people take showers they neglect to wash their faces, its just an after thought. However, washing your face is a must if you want real results. 2. Use ice to get rid of redness. When dealing with lesions on your face from acne, use ice. The ice works to reduce the swelling and helps with itching. 3. Change your diet. If you didn't know it yet, your diet determines your health. If you are constantly eating junk your body will let you know in many different ways, including acne. Most acne that deals with food comes from all the fast food you eat, and how processed food is made in general. So switch up the diet, make sure to drink more water and eat right. 4. Use natural products for skin care, Natural products are great for your skin. They allow you the ability to naturally control your acne. Along with washing your face everyday, its a good idea to use a face mask. Their are lots of face mask on this blog to help you make a great homemade face mask. They are mostly simple recipes, but face mask are very effective. So remember to find one that works for you. Try the mask for a couple of weeks before trying another if you need to change. Don'ts:
1. Don't OVER WASH your face. So, yes you do have to wash your face, but you can over wash your face. If you wash your face to much you can cause irritation. I recommend getting a routine and sticking with that. Including one daily wash. 2. Don't itch your face with dirty fingernails. This is something a lot of people don't think about. Dirt accumulates throughout your day under your fingernails, whether its just skin cells from itching or dirt. Dirt then gets into your pores and clogs them up. 3. Don't use harsh chemicals. Lots of products out there for acne contain lots of harsh chemicals. These chemicals dry out skin, sometimes severely. Its important to use products that contain natural ingredients. The natural ingredients will help with moisturizing the skin too. 4. Don't use just any home remedy. Be careful using home remedies for one important reason. Some people are just putting these things together. Believe me when I say this, some of those remedies can hurt. I have seen burns and scars from home remedies. An important thing to do is to find remedies from people you know who have already tried them, or trusted sources online. 5. Don't pop your pimples. This is crucial. Popping your pimples can cause scaring, but more importantly the oils that built up in the pores will spread on your face, which can clog even more pores. If you have a pimple that hurts and has to pop, try ice first. So there you have it 10 essential do's and don't so you know how to get rid of pimples. If you have any additions that I may have missed please leave them in the comments below. Don't forget to start a regimen, a daily plan that you can follow for clearer, healthier skin. Plantar warts are notoriously painful, but where do they come from?
The answer Hpv. Yes they are caused by hpv, don't be embarassed though, 1 out of 3 adults has it, half of them don't even know and have no signs. Warts start on the bottom of your foot and as they grow, they grow inward. The wart starts to get hard. Honestly I have not clue, but there are guesses floating around the internet, so let's here some.. Duct tape is the only way I have done it. I also haven't read anything about anything happening when people have tried this. So I am going to say yes. Well I give you a lot of good things to make to help you get rid of your acne blemishes, you may need a structure, a plan if you will to help you along the way. While we all know at least one way to get rid of acne, most of us just try one thing and move to the other. Well, I am going to talk about using multiple methods at once. Right here, right now. 3 Amazing Tips When Learning How To Get Rid Of Acne Blemishes 1. Try things for at least two weeks- That's right, not one try, not two, but for an entire two weeks. Unless you have a reaction to the mask, or acne treatment, keep trying. You skin needs time to heal, so let it. You will have to give your acne fighter a chance to work. If you find yourself at the end of your two weeks, and you see no visible difference, move on. Do not keep treating yourself with something that will not work, in hopes that it will. That is a waste of your time, and maybe even a waste of your money. 2. Moisturize and steam- No matter what treatment you have you need to moisturize and steam your face. These are two important steps that lead to many failed acne treatment attempts. The important thing to know is how acne treatments work. Usually acne treatments heal and tighten skin. When your skin is that tight, it is important to moisturize it. Let your moisturizer do the work of adding the extra vitamins and minerals to your skin while it heals. The next step is steaming. You should use your steam treatment after you moisturize. This allows the pores to open up and let the moisturizer get deep into your pores, to heal and protect. Most people don't realize these two things go hand in hand if you want to heal. 3. Catch acne when it starts- When everyone starts acne treatment, most people don't think to manage the new acne that pops up as it happens. The best thing to do while you are treating your face, is to use an overnight blemish treatment, to take care of the blemishes as they come up. For example if I was using a mask 3 times a week, and I found a new pimple, I would take care of it, that night. So if it wasn't my day to use a mask, I would use an overnight blemish fighter on that blemish. The toothpaste method always seems to work for me. You can find that method ==>HERE<== . Then you just keep working on the rest through the rest of the week. Its more efficient this way. Keep your face game strong with all these tips. Bonus Tip: If you have been trying acne fighting home remedies for a long time and you have seen no results, you should try to a premade acne treatment. Those companies have invested a lot of time and effort to get the right ingredients and testing to make those products amazing. I always recommend two things to everyone, the two things I trust to do the best job dealing with acne issues....so much so that I wrote reviews for each one. Acne Treatment Acne Scar Treatment I've been getting one question a lot, what is better a home remedy or an acne skin care product?
Lets start with some facts: Home remedies- Home remedies can be easy to put together, cheap, and if done correctly can have a big improvement on your complexion. Most remedies are created by average people who don't understand the science of skin. Some don't even understand how acne really works. Measurements are guessed, and lessons don't get learned all the time. Acne skin care products - These products have been specifically designed and engineered to take care of acne. The formulas have been tested for years before being passed into approval stages. Extremely smart people work to improve the formula everyday. Sure that is not a lot of facts, but it should demonstrate my point. Home remedies can be harmful if not done correctly. Anything could go wrong, from wearing a DIY mask to long, to having bad ingredients. The directions are very important and sometimes get out of order, or even misread the ingredients list. The point is that there is a lot that can go wrong. This is why I think for serious cases of acne you will need to buy something . I recommend the Exposed skin care ultimate acne treatment. So for many DIYers this doesn't seem like a good answer. Well In my opinion I am correct but to someone else I might not be. I recommend trying both things to see what works best for you. Their are certainly benefits to DIY remedies, but it is important to remember that treatments are specifically designed to treat acne. They are not guessing they are using real measurements to find the best ingredients to solve your problem. I have seen DIY stuff made out of yogurt, milk, honey, aloe, and green tea, just to name a few. The only thing i have noticed about, is that every recipe, even for the same recipe The is to much complication in doing it yourself. For me the only answer is acne skin care products. Not only can you tell where all the ingredients come from, you can tell how many people it has actually worked for. All the reviews are right there for you to see on most products, acne products are no different, you can see reviews before you pick and make your life much simpler. |
